Canadian models are very much the focus in the new Playboy Fragrance ads.

The very high profile campaign features Montréal's Jean-François Poirier and Barrie's Andi Muise.

We're throwing our support behind one of our favourite photographers, who happens to be a finalist in the Vogue Magazine / Bottega Veneta "New Exposure" contest (and hope you will too).

Rayan Ayash (www.rayanayash.com) is one of the final ten in the competition, and could "receive a prize package including $10,000, a RED Epic-X camera package, a one-year mentorship with Management Artists photo agency, and the opportunity to shoot an exclusive project for Bottega Veneta..."

To cast your vote, hit the 'like' button on Bottega Veneta's New Exposure link. From there you'll be guided to a page featuring the ten finalists where you can select Ayash.

The winner will be announced July 11th, in New York City.

This week marked the launch of two new online fashion magazines in Toronto, with Tuesday's release of Frische, and Wednesday's debut of Bon Bon.

Frische was spawned by photographer Wally Sparks, and features five of his own stories, plus contributions by Robert Gaudette, Colleen Durkin and Danny Nguyen.

Five of the stories were styled by Associate Editor Bobbi Paidel, while stylist Bobby Bowen worked on three others.

Bon Bon is the collaborative venture of two Judy Inc artists: stylist, Joelle Litt and makeup & hair artist Shawna Lee.

Other work in the premiere issue comes from Maja Hajduk, Javier Lovera, George Whiteside, Calope, Regen Chen, Mike Lewis and Christophe Strube.

It seems the guys are making all the noise these days, especially now with the men's shows in Europe introducing plenty of Canadian faces.

This is Collingwood, Ontario's Malcolm de Ruiter, managed by Anita Norris (with with Spot 6 in Toronto).

The 20-year-old was featured as last week's Model of the Week on Models.com.

Since then he closed Topman Design, and did James Long and Jonathan Sanders shows in London, and is now booked for Valentino in Milan.

Not bad for someone who only started two months ago.

It was just over a year ago (May 6, 2011, to be exact) that Modelresource first told you about Want Management's Andras (with Spot 6 in Toronto, Next in Montréal).

The 6'1" blonde has continued his successful modelling journey since then, and is in London right now (with M&P) for that city's first men's fashion week.

The Hungarian-Canadian also appears in editorial format, in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar.

NEW FACE ALERT

The Canadian west has a stellar record for producing top male models, and this guy seems set to continue the trend.

Freeman is a discovery of I Model Management, scouted just two short weeks ago in Calgary.

We're not in the habit of revealing models' options on Modelresource, but suffice it to say he's got some pretty great ones for the coming Milan shows.

The 6'2" brunette is already signed to DNA in New York, and was featured earlier this week on Models.com.

Stay tuned...

Modelresource has been giving you previews of each issue of PRESS The Fashion since the magazine's debut last August.

Now a look at something new, as the Ottawa-based mag has spun off a beauty complement.

Edited by Toronto-based makeup & hair artist Bree Powell -- herself a former Ottawan -- the first issue will launch in September, with subsequent editions released every six months.

The new website is already live at www.pressthebeauty.com.
