In February, when I started pulling together details for an article about the comeback of the American model, I chose Hilary Rhoda as the subject.
Although I certainly didn't choose poorly, I always regretted not making Heather Bratton part of that same feature.
It has now been made public that 19-year-old Bratton was killed last week when the hired car in which she was travelling was rear-ended by an SUV after breaking down in the centre lane of the New Jersey turnpike.
According to www.fashionweekdaily.com, in the Florida newcomer's first fashion season "Bratton walked for style luminaries like Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, and Prada. She also starred in this season's Balenciaga campaign and was the focus of Steven Meisel's recent cover of Vogue Italia."
Our thoughts are with those close to her.

IA Management Beach Party
One year ago former model Idanna Auger started putting into motion a plan to establish her own agency just outside Toronto's city limits. Within months, IA Management was born.
Last week, on a warm summer evening, Auger threw a lakeside party complete with bonfire and beach bodies to celebrate the agency's grand opening.
Among the celebrants were 17-year-old Alana Young, and her 13-year-old sister Samantha - both of whom are repped by IA Management.
According to Auger, the 5'9" older sibling already has offers from Asia and Europe, and will be doing her first job Monday... a music video for Hedley.

Andrea Muizelaar, from Canada's Next Top Model
This is not the girl you think it is.
True, it may look like the insecure girl you saw crying her way though the recent Canada's Next Top Model television reality show, but it's not her.
This is the Andrea Muizelaar that got left behind on the editing room floor - a confident, well-spoken girl with a lot more perspective than you would think.
Since the show wrapped at the end of March, she's been going to a personal trainer to build some muscle, so as not too appear too much like that super-skinny girl from T.V.
Modelresource met with Muizelaar Friday, between her other scheduled appearances. The complete story is coming next week.

Modelresource dropped by Nam Models Thursday to set in motion the next of our agency profiles.
The agency is renowned for its men's division, which currently boasts two of the top 50 male models (Robyn Sinclair and Milan Krouzil) on Models.com.
Cadman also shared some important information about that market. "There are a lot of Brazillian models in Korea... not many Canadians right now. Summer time is also the rainy season for those considering travelling here. Most agencies wil drive you to all castings and jobs because Koreans don't typically speak much English."
She also mentioned models "typically travel from 60-90 day contracts and need to be exclusive to the agency for 6 months following. Measurements are pretty much the same as Hong Kong."
Karin McCarthy is an agent at G Models in Milan. She gave Modelresource some insights into the Milano market which we will have online in the next few days.
Thanks to both for their invaluable contributions.

Adam Ward, with Willow at Fashion Cares
When Nam's Willow gave Modelresource her amazing Fashion Cares story last month, the piece included a photo of the beautiful young blonde with one of Nam's male models.
Now it's Adam Ward's time in the spotlight, thanks to Models.com which has made the 18-year-old its most recent Model of the Week.
6'0" Ward is in New York this summer, where he is working through Wilhelmina.
Another British Columbia success story you should know about is Allen International's Owen Steuart, who is currently ranked #45 on the Models.com list of top male models.
A former swimmer, this 6'1" Okanagan boy has campaigns running right now for both Missoni and Gap (with Hilary Rhoda), a Nautica Jeans one on the way, and made several appearances on the runways of Milan a couple weeks ago.
