Models.com recently overhauled its list of top faces, which meant among other things the de-listing of Daria Werbowy and Brad Kroenig from their years-long spots at the top of their respective lists.
Another major move was the extraordinary leap of British Columbia's Owen Steuart, who vaulted from #45 to #17.
"Not only is he gorgeous, he's a nice guy without an ego." says AIM's Lori McCormack. "The best part is that Owen hasn't changed. He's still the sweet, good looking kid who swam with our daughter on the local swim team. We're extremely proud to represent him as mother agent, and we're not surprised at all by his success. He's worked hard for it and most certainly deserves it!!"
Watch for a new fashion magazine hitting Canadian newstands in February, with some well-established names behind it.
Passion Magazine is branding itself as a high-end Fashion & Lifestyle magazine, but with a defintite multicultural focus.
The magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Lonelle Selbo, tells Modelresource the new magazine will be a mix of new and emerging talent - from photographers to designers and models - with a "strong mix of backgrounds."
Selbo, who is a major contributor to Lush Magazine also has the former Fashion Editor at Jasmine Magazine (and IA Management model), Luan Avram on board as Fashion & Beauty Editor.
New Canadian fashion magazines are, of course, always good news for models. Passion will be a glossy 9x11½ format (so the tear sheets will fit nicely in portfolios).
Modelresource was on set Wednesday for the first ever editorial shoot (for Valentine's Day), featuring Elmer Olsen's Jetanne and NAM's Tyrone, shot by Jackson Huang.,

Updates from Elmer Olsen, where the inevitable Alana Zimmer has debuted at #48 on the Models.com list of Top 50 models.
Sarra meanwhile, just shot American Vogue with Richard Bush. Modelresource first predicted success for the Ottawa native more than a year ago (see the September 20, 2005 update).
Maria Dvirnik recently made a quick stopover in Toronto to shoot Fashion Magazine between shoots for Portuguese Vogue in Lisbon, and Spanish Marie Claire in Morocco.
And we'll be watching for a 20-page spread featuring Jessica Lewis in the spring 2007 issue of 10 magazine. The images below of Lewis (who is repped by IMG in New York) are from the current W Magazine.

Over the past couple of years Stylus Canada has steadily made inroads in Toronto's fashion scene, first with an impressive men's board, and more recently as a full-serve shop that hold its own on all fronts.
As the boards have grown stronger the reach has expanded, with guys like Darius making a statement internationally, and now an announcement they are representing Ryan Taylor who has set the international circuit alight in the past year.
"Ryan Taylor is creating quite the buzz on the international scene with a Vogue Homme editorial, and shows such as Prada, Lacoste, Marc by Marc and Yves Saint Laurent (amongst others) already under his belt during his first season. Ryan is currently in Europe for editorial bookings. Stay tuned..."
Plyley also shared details of his own recent trip to New York, where he signed Natasha to IMG. The beauty shot on the right is from a test done the same day she signed with Manhattan agency.

Modelresource was backstage with nine of Corestone's models Sunday, where they were modelling for Areta, at the Four Seasons Fashion Showcase.
CityTV sent out a news release this morning announcing the deadline is fast approaching to apply for Season Two of Canada's Next Top Model.
As you likely know, last season ended with the judging panel selecting Andrea Muizelaar as their choice.
What you may not know is that Ylenia, who didn't make it to the final three, is actually the model booking the most.
Sutherland Models, which will again be representing this season's winner, also signed most of last year's finalists and is following through with bookings. You can read about their progress on Sutherland Models' website.
The deadline for Season Two applications is December 15th. For more information visit CityTV's website.

Aaron Hawco with Marina
Modelresource wants to wish Aaron Hawco the best as he embarks on a new career.
The long-time NAM booker has taken a job outside the industry, and will spend his last day at the agency on Thursday.
NAM owner Norwayne Anderson released a statement saying "Aaron has been a true foundation to the heart of NAM Personal Management and will always be a friend."
Taking over Hawco's role will be former model Nicola Stephenson.

Jason Meyers with Kim Noseworthy
It was an intimate affair Thursday evening as Modelresource coordinated a fashion show in support of The Sophia Fund.
The Heliconian Club in Toronto's Yorkville District was the setting for the event, as Jason Meyers presented his Spring/Summer '07 collection (accessorized by SOOS), while models from four agencies donated their time.
Rather than typical fashion show music, this show featured a stunning live cabaret set by Coloratura Soprano Emily Klassen.
Modelresource is grateful to all those that gave life to this event:
