Your Questions

Summer 2006

Your feeback

My daughter is 15 and has had some international interest from Asia. We did not go forward with the international market as we were told they would not pay for a chaperone to go along. I was told by someone else that it was customary to have chaperones worked into the contracts. Who should I believe?

Modelresource's reply

Images' Pat Collins knows more about these arrangements than anyone else, so we gave this question to her.

Asian agencies will only front the mother's expenses in "very special" cases. It is not customary, and in the end all expenses are repaid from the model's earnings... so basically the mother is taking money from her daughter.
